Other Ways to Give to Friends of San Pasqual Academy

As you are beginning your year-end charitable giving and tax planning, we would like to offer several ways you can continue your support and/or consider increasing your support in a tax advantaged way.

  • Appreciated Securities
Consider donating appreciated securities. With the attached form, you simply instruct your broker to transfer stock from your account to our account with the Rancho Santa Fe Foundation/UBS. Once the stock has been sold, the net proceeds will be placed into our fund and you will receive a charitable contribution letter from Rancho Santa Fe Foundation which can be used for your current year tax filing. Gifts of appreciated securities can be deducted up to 50% of your AGI each year and you avoid capital gains which would be incurred if you were to sell the stock and donate the proceeds. Please send this form to the fax number indicated so your gift can be attributed to Friends of San Pasqual Academy Fund.
  • Donor Advised Fund
If you have a donor advised fund, consider making a grant recommendation to Friends of San Pasqual directly. Tax ID is 20-0296623.
  • IRA Charitable Rollover
If you are age 70½ or older, please consider using the IRA Charitable Rollover Provision. Legislation allows the owner of a qualified retirement plan, such as an IRA, to gift up to $100,000 of their annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) to charity. This a tax -free distribution for those who qualify and must be made directly to Friends of San Pasqual Academy. We suggest you contact your investment advisor for more information on this form of contribution.
